Sports are an essential and integral part of life at GTBKIET. The sports facilities, which are the best that any contemporary college can boast of, are open to all students. The campus has lush green lawns and a well maintained beautiful sports complex comprising two floodlit tennis courts, a squash racket court, volley courts, five channel swimming pool of international standards, hockey ,football grounds and a 400 metre athletic track..

Inter College tournaments and friendly matches are popular and a regular part of the activities. Athletics meet is an annual feature in GTBKIET and students participate whole-heartedly.

Due to the best playing environmnet, lush green play, efforts of Coach Mr. Sukhraj Singh & hard work of students, Cricket Team of GTBKIET won Inter university Cricket Tournament 2006.
