MAJOR AREAS OF FOCUS |
The department also offers specialization in I.C. Engines, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Hydraulic Machinery, Compressors & Gas Turbines, CAD, CAM, Operation Research & Machine Tools. The recent additions to the list of specialization are CIM, Robotics & Finite Element Methods in Engineering. |

LABS |
The discipline of Mechanical Engineering has been introduced from the session started in 2003 and within less than three years of its inception, the department has emerged as one of the most upcoming and best departments of the institute. In addition to the theoretical classroom instruction, emphasis is also laid on the professional practise by making practical job training an integral part of the curriculum and to make this feasible, the department owns state of art laboratories, equipped with ultra modern facilities and equipments. Some of the major laboratories are:

- Automobile Engineering
- Mechanics and Dynamics ( Theory of Machines )

In addition to these the department owns a high-tech workshop containing latest machine tools in the category of Milling Machine, Shaper, Lathe Machine etc and latest technology welding equipment with apparatus like TIG, MIG,RESISTANCE Welding etc. The workshop contains all the laboratories/shops as required by the curriculum and asrequired by the complete training of budding technocrat.
