Based on the prescribed curriculum of the PTU, the department's objectives are :- |

To train the students to analyse, synthesize & design electrical circuits using the well established network theorms. |

To study & understand the operation of electrical machines based on the laws of electro-magnetic induction. |

To learn the
principles of generation, transmission & distribution of electrical energy. |

To understand the techniques of optimum operation & control of power networks. |
