It is one of the institutions aimed to function as a pace setter for engineering education in the country and to foster national integration.The Institute is located about 350 KMs north-west of Delhi on the Malout-Ganganagar Route and overlooking the great Grand-Trunk Road. The college spreads over an area of 40 acres of land. It is fully residential and co-educational. The annual graduate intake is 360 students. The Institute is affiliated to Punjab Technical University which awards B.Tech. to our students after their successful completion of the specified courses. The Institute imparts education in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.A number of seats are also reserved for Scheduled Caste/Tribes candidates from Punjab Govt and also from other state on state-wise quota. Seats are also reserved for the wards of personnel from paramilitary forces who have been killed or permanently disabled during war or hostility.
In addition to its sanctioned intake a few seats are also reserved by the Central Govt. for foreign students etc. Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India and the Indian Council of Cultural relations are the authorities to select candidates from the children of the staff serving in Indian missions abroad ( NRI seats)
Spanned over an area of 40 acres, including 8 acres of plantations and parks & situated on the outskirts of Malout. Guru Teg Bahadur Campus has been planned as a self sufficient micro-city. All the Buildings have maintenance free finish. The campus boasts of having energy efficient architectural concepts, artificially created water-bodies etc. |
